Top 10 golf courses in the Florida. This is an award winning Arnold Palmer designed course that is managed by Troon Golf. Bobby Jones Golf Complex (3.0 Rating - Golf Digest) 1000 Circus Blvd, Sarasota / (941) 365-GOLF Par: 72 Ydg: 5670 - 6467 Rating: 69.2 - 72.3 Slope: 110 - 116 (British Course) A 45-hole municipal golf complex that provides great golf at a very affordable price. Bobby Jones himself dedicated the facility in 1927. There both an American-style and British-style 18-hole course that pay tribute to Bobby Jones' major tournament wins on both continents. There is also a fine 9-hole par three executive course. Famous course architect Donald Ross designed the original 18 holes. It's really one of the best muni golf complexes in the country. It has a full pro shop, practice tee and the Tavern on the Green restaurant, which is a great 19th hole to sip a brew and watch the action on the course. However, like all good muni's, it can be very busy with local golf-rats. Go and have fun! | |
